Share your ENSLD Experience

February 4th, 2020 in ENSLD Go to comments

The new ENSLD 300-420 is going to come to replace the old CCNP exams (the last day to take CCNP exams is February 23, 2020) so we create the “Share your ENSLD Experience” for everyone to share their experience to prepare for this new exam.

Please share with us your experience to prepare for the new ENSLD 300-420 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations… But please DO NOT share any information about the detail of the exam or your personal information, your score, exam date and location, your email…

Your posts are warmly welcome! Hope you will find useful information here!

    Took the test today and failed by about 10 points. I used PassLeader and there were about 15 new questions on my test, including 5 new drag and drops. I knew the answers to a good number of the new questions, so if the only thing you know is from practicing the dumb, you will fail miserably.

    PL needs a major update before it’s complete enough for you to pass.

    @JDub, could you please share your PL dump ? I’m trying to make a new document with questions from all the dumps I’ve found.
    Do you remember the Drag and drops as well ?
    Thanks !

    There were 60 questions on the exam and probably 10 of them were drag and drop. I don’t remember a lot of specifics from the new questions, but here’s the best I can do:

    -1 subnetting question where you need to subnet a given IP range based on the number of devices needed. You need to come up with the ip range and subnet mask for each range.

    -LOTS of questions about SD-Access and SD-WAN. You need to be familiar with components and their purpose. There were several drag and drops and multiple choice questions about this. You also need to understand, in depth, how to multicast in an SD-Access network as there are also several questions about this. The Cisco Press book covers all of these topics pretty well.

    Does anyone have PDF link for CCNP Enterprise Design ENSLD 300-420 Official Cert Guide?
    I want to learn new material and stuff (maybe its similar as older books but rewritten the same stuff).
    Since this book was announced at the end of August 2020, I guess Cisco is expecting PL to take this exam after learning and I guess next year 2021 will be more feedback to the community about experience from the exam etc.
    this is why there are no much PL dumps etc.

    @SM – could it be this one ? :

    A network engineer must segregate three interconnected campus networks using IS-IS routing. A two-layer hierarchy must be used to support large routing domains and to avoid more specific routes from each campus network being advertised to other campus network routers automatically. Which two actions does the engineer take to accomplish this segregation? (Choose two.)

    Designate two IS-IS routers as BDR routers at the edge of each campus, and configure one BDR for all Level 1 routers and one BDR for all Level 2 routers.
    Designate two IS-IS routers from each campus to act as Level 1/Level 2 backbone routers at the edge of each campus network.
    Assign the same IS-IS NET value for each campus, and configure internal campus routers with Level 1/Level 2 routing.
    Utilize different MTU values for each campus network segment. Level 2 backbone routers must utilize a larger MTU size of 9216.
    Assign a unique IS-IS NET value for each campus, and configure internal campus routers with Level 1 routing.

    Yes, this one.

    I have answered

    December 19th, 2020

    Back again. as i managed to find the 300-420 ebook online;
    I also remember some of the questions that i had;

    * regarding subnetting:
    drag from right to left (some subnets not used)

    (subnets below shown) (number of host given)

    10.1.1.112/26 5 host for x department
    10.1.1.96/28 30 host for y departent
    10.0.0.0 /29 14 host for z department
    10.1.1.64/26 8 host for xx department
    10.1.1.96/26
    10.1.1.8/25

    (note: so it seemed, i remember very well ! sure were /26, /27, /28, /29 ; )

    * Another question was:
    Drag and drop

    vBOND manages blah blah blah
    vSmart forwards, directs packets blah blah blah
    WAN edge Orchestrates blah blah blah

    (note: correct answer now that i checked;)
    vBOND — orchestrates
    vSmart —- controls
    WAN edge / vEdge —– forwards

    ** anther new question was:

    Names of Nodes in SD-WAN access (choose two)

    – External border node
    – Border node
    -Internal border node
    – Edge node
    – blah blah blah

    (correct are: Border and Edge node)

    ** Another question was:

    – how is the redundancy of the controllers maintained?
    – each region has a controller
    – All ip addresses tied to DNS
    – BLAH BLAH BLAH

    (This i was and still not sure; but i had selected ” tied to DNS)

    *** i will keep remembering other questions; seems reading the book now; ill book again FOR SURE I WILL PASS NEXT TIME since i lacked just few points to make it and the above where those that pinned me down)

    I checked and ABSOLUTELY !!!! Those are VALID!!
    But as i mentioned above in my loooong post are the NEW questions that you need to pay attention to.

    ** Beleive me, you dont want to fail with just missing 1 or 2 questions (8 or 10 points)
    ** I have checked google search and dumps for the subnet questions 10.1.1.x to host but could not.(that is a drag and drop)

    I Will be going for a second try soon and will update.

    I AM NOW CONFIDENT

    Just a question, I need to re-certify on my CCDP, by taking the ENSLD 300-420 exam, will this re-certify me on my CCDP?

  49. theboom
    March 1st, 2021

    Hi,

    I passed the Cisco ENSLD exam last week.

    The exam was challenging but if you study the OCG book plus you watch any video training like ITproTV (Anthony Sequeira) or CBT nuggets will really help you to pass the exam.

    Pay attention to the SDA an SDWAN topics there are a few questions. It is also important that you have some experience on the field in order to understand all protocols and technologies covered on this books.

    Good LUCK!
