When designing the identity and access control portions for the enterprise campus network, which of these solutions would be the most appropriate solution to consider?
A. 802.ax
B. ACLs in the core layer
C. Cisco Security MARS
D. NetFlow
which one guys ?
If you get this question on the exam and it says 802.1x and not 802.ax, go for option A, if not then go for C

A large enterprise requires sensitive information be transmitted over a public infrastructure. It
requires confidentiality integrity, and authenticity. Which security solution best meets these
requirements?
A. Cisco IOS Firewall
B. Intrusion Prevention
C. IPSEC
D. AAA
E. Traffic Guard Protector
F. SECURE CONECTIVITY
Actual test says : Answer: F
Which one you suggest guys ?
I found the answer, D is correct , but in VCE it says C is correct , which is not
Sorry guys I meant F is correct not D
What is primary consideration when choosing a routed network design over a traditional campus network design?
A. Layer 3 service support at the network edge
B. the routing protocol choice: open (OSPF) or proprietary (EIGRP)
C. the routing abilities of the host devices
D. the need to control the broadcast domains within the campus core
I donno if A is correct or D :-s
A. Cisco IOS Firewall
B. Intrusion Prevention
C. IPSEC
D. AAA
E. Traffic Guard Protector
F. SECURE CONECTIVITY
This is a basic answer, it has to be IPsec
by looking at the question … yes .. answer is IPSec, in vce file it says IPsec too.
But in Actual test it says Secure connectivity.
Basically which one is more reliable VCE file or actual test ?
Let me know how the exam goes tomorrow, i’m taking mine soon.
If your looking at the AT 253 question PDF, the below question’s i have corrected with the answers below:
101 = A and B
115 = A, C, F
119 = C (Campus core)
120 = A, B, D
There a few other “dodgy” answers, but the above are 100% right, checked agaisnt the CCDA guide
are you sure about 101 ?
can you tell me which page of CCDA guide approve this ?
Because both AT and VCE file says A & C
dstut website and the CCDA book both have the same answer as me. Cant remember the page number, will be in the wireless section somewhere.
Check also https://www.dstut.com/wireless-questions
when designing the infrastructure protection portion for the enterprise edge, which of these solution would be the most appropriate solution to consider?
A. 802.lX ( am not sure if it is 802.1X , but in the VCE it is 802.lX ) ( I doubt it becoz 802.1X protects the infrastructure)
B. ACL in the core layer ( 100 % incorrect )
C. Cisco Security MARS ( I can be correct but I am not sure, AT says this correct)
D. AAA ( VCE says this is correct answer which I doubt it )
any opinion ?
you are right voice
B. Each wireless client authentication type maps to a unique SSID which in turn maps to a unique VLAN.
E. 802.1 Q trunking extends from the wired infrastructure to a wireless LAN controller for translation into SSID(s).
yup , that is the answer , but in VCE they changed the order , so that was the source of uncertainty
glad that is sorted. Good luck for tomorrow. Let the forum know tomorrow how it went.
I think question 27 in AT maybe also wrong, but havent had chance to research it yet.
There are a number of advantages to using virtualization within the data center module. Which the following two are samples of these advantages?
A. Virtualization consolidates many low-performance devices into a few high performance devices,
providing a more efficient utilization of hardware and increasing the price/performance ratio.
B. Virtualization compartmentalizes a single device into a few high-performance devices, providing
a more efficient utilization of hardware and increasing the price/performance ratio.
C. Dynamic forcibility eliminates the need to add, reassign, or repurpose resources in the system.
D. Virtualization separates user via different physical networks into groups with visibility into only
their logical network.
E. Virtualization provides distinct security policies per physical device
In VCE file answers are B,E which E is incorrect
B & D are correct answers
Regarding previous post
CCDA 640-864 official cert guide , p 142
Separation of users groups on the same physical network, enabling traffic isolation
Thx man, I will certainly tell this forum the result
Which three mechanisms are required to deploy QoS on an IP WAN? (Choose three)
A. traffic classification
B. Call Admission Control
C. queuing and scheduling
D. link efficiency techniques
E. traffic shaping
F. bandwidth provisioning
dstut says , BDE
VCE says , ADE
CCDA book says Call admission control is a QoS mechanism for identifying capacity issues as part of the call routing process.
in another page it says : Cisco has developed many different QoS mechanisms, such as queuing, policing, and
traffic shaping.
Traffic shaping and policing — Avoids congestion by policing ingress and egress flows
am confused!
@David:
How did it go?
Where the corrected questions any good for you?
Hello voice
Questions were twisted, most of them, for 10 questions , I haven’t seen them before
got 780 and failed , I think I should try again
I finished the study guide two times but no luck!
sorry to hear that, you only just failed, maybe by 2-3 questions.
Do you think there was 10 new question? Otherwise where most questions from AT?
i know it’s asking alot to share exam information after failing, but my exam is this week, so any tips on question changes would be great
I will be prepared to filter back info i have also once i sit the exam
What’s the latest dumps and vce that you are using? Please share.
now its not the best time to take those new exams such as ccda and ccnp security. wait until latest dumps and more info are updated here first. cheers…
Just passed the CCDA 640-864 with 912. Studied purely on the dumps. 90~95% question from dumps

Good luck all!
Thanks for the feedback. Where the new questions technology based (Tech questions)? Or CCDA model based (What layer etc etc?
About 1 or 2 question is new which is based on tech.
Thanks dtut.com,
just passed 883.
Used vce files, the official books, cbt nuggets for 863 and the word document that had all the dd in previous comments.
The_Voice, who did your exam go mate?
Do share your experience please.
HELP! I am really in need of a good reference source. I have some many that are conflicting at this point. I was 2 points away from a passing score. That is discouraging cause I know I would have passed if my refs were accurate. Anyone?
how much you scored?
and what material did you use?
Just passed the CCDA 640-864 with 927/1000. 90% question from dumps. Used vce files, the official books, cbt nuggets.

Thanks all. Next step: Arch for CCDP
Ok.. I broke down and used the vce that everyone is raving about and I wish I had came across this site first. Actual Test dump v4.2 has at least have of the questions with conflicting answers. :{
I passed DESGN exam on 10/10/2011, just to let you know .vce files posted here are still valid. 55 questions on the exam, minimum passing score 790 :) good luck
Hello everyone, i am preparing for my exam which is on 29th of Oct and i hope i’ll get questions from the vce posted up here.
Hello everyone, there’s a new vce updated on 17/10 in examcollection(http://www.examcollection.com/640-864.html). As far as i have gone through the questions are still the same, but those who are about to take up the exam please go through this as well….good luck :-)
hi dstut, pls update this exam 640-864 with new questions and answers and remove 640-863 as it does not exist anymore! thanks!!!
passed today with +900. vce rock! luv this site. I was a bit discouraged with the other materials I had been using and almost gave up. Glad I kept searching. Just some encouragement for those of up next. Two new questions I didnt see on the vce…a drop and drop on SNMP, CDP, RMON and Netflow , also a architecture question on edge switches. hope they are on the update vce.
Is there any strict rule like, the answers in Drag &drop questions should be placed in the order in exam? because when i do sample tests, it shows my answers are wrong as the answers are not placed in order ( the answers are correct though). for example for the D&D question “network virtualization and device virtualization” the answers as per the order is Vlan, vpc, vrf and ASA,VDC,IPS repectively…so if i place IPS,ASA, VDC it is accepting as a correct answer. So should there be an order for these answers?? Could someone answer please?????
small correction in my above post, “so if i place IPS,ASA, VDC it is not accepting as a correct answer
i dont know if the order count or not , but i think not .
i just pass the exam in 24th of october with 960 pass score .
Passed on 29th October with 927/1000….the order doesn’t matter i think…..
latest vce uploaded in examcollection is valid…..
Good luck guys!!!!!!!
Congratulations, Ramkchan!
I personally failed the exam on Thu 27th with 708 points, using only the cert. guide for the preparation; now I’m going for the new attempt this Thu, using all the info, docs, and dumps from this awesome forum.
Would you please share with us following information:
– did you use the latest vce from Janella (“Cisco.RealExamQuestions.640-864.v2011-10-22.by.Janella.255q.vce”)? I’m having some difficulties with that dump (seems to have many wrong answers).
– did you encounter the D&D question on SNMP, CDP, RMON and Netflow, and the architecture question on edge switches, as mentioned by Qofgds?
– generally, did you follow the all answers from the v4.2 pdf and or/VCE, or did you submit the some corrected answers?
Hello everyone,
I went through the latest dumps as well as through the v4.2 pdf, while having some difficulties with the below items… maybe for some of you, these are actually clear?
_Problem 1_
QUESTION NO: 67
Which three mechanisms are required to deploy QoS on an IP WAN? (Choose three.)
A. queuing and scheduling
B. Call Admission Control
C. traffic shaping
D. link efficiency techniques
E. traffic classification
F. bandwidth provisioning
v4.2 pdf answers: B,C,D
dump answers: C,D,E
QUESTION NO: 252
A campus network needs end-to-end QoS tools to manage traffic and ensure voice quality. Which three types of QoS tools are needed? (Choose three.)
A. interface queuing and scheduling
B. congestion management
C. compression and fragmentation
D. bandwidth provisioning
E. traffic classification
F. buffer management
v4.2 pdf & dump answers: A,D,E
Why queing and scheduling is not correct in #67? And what are actually the correct answers for #67?
_Problem 2_
QUESTION NO: 243
When designing using the Cisco Enterprise Architecture, in which Enterprise Campus layer does the Enterprise Teleworker module establish its connection?
A. Building Core
B. Building Access
C. Enterprise Branch
D. Enterprise Data Center
*E). WAN/Internet
In the similar questions 46 and 119, it’s correctly stated that core is the right answer. However, why should here WAN/Internet be the correct one, if the question is about Enterprise _Campus_ “layer”, while the WAN/Internet is in the Enterprise Edge? Only because _Building_ Core doesn’t make sense (the _Campus_ Core would)?
_Problem 3_
QUESTION NO: 21
What is primary consideration when choosing a routed network design over a traditional campus network design?
A). Layer 3 service support at the network edge
B. the routing protocol choice: open (OSPF) or proprietary (EIGRP)
C. the routing abilities of the host devices
*D. the need to control the broadcast domains within the campus core
Do you know what’s the correct answer? Answer D should be wrong, as campus core is not affected by the choice of routed vs. traditional design. However, “network edge” is not mentioned anywhere in the certification guide; googling defined it actually as a distribution layer, but can somebody confirm?
Any discussion on the above would be more than appreciated…
DesertEagle27:
for Q 67, according to cert 4th edition, P.217, there is a table that has all QoS considerations and they are: Classification, Congestion management, Link-efficiency and Traffic shaping and policing
but queuing and scheduling is not an important QoS factor for WAN, it is for voice though.
for Q 243, u r correct, the building core is the correct answer.
for Q21, i think i would go with C but im not sure
hi,
i cleared the CCDA exam day before yesturday with 923 mark..all the question and dnd are from dstut and AT….
thanks..
Hi Fadywn,
Thanks for you feedback, what’s confusing for me it’s that Queuing is a mechanism Congestion management, which is mentioned in the table you’re referring to. But I guess you’re right – and only the real test might help;)
Passed today. 5-6 questions was new.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats Asad,
Are you able to share the topics of those new questions?
