@CCDA_NEED_HELP (and anyone trying to pass):

I don’t know why you would review the 863 material…that said the ‘sure-proof’ formula for winning is:

1. Read the Official Cert Guide 640-864 book. It’s an all around win.
2. Study (meaning research and learn the answers to) all questions on dstut & aiotestking
3. Spend the $70 and buy a good practice exam (L2P is the most used on the people posting here).

Personally, I think you could pass with just 2/3 but you’d miss out on a great deal of understanding which, in the long run, may cost you. Then again, it may not.

From my experience, all ‘practice exams’ have quite a few wrong answers. Sometimes I wonder if it’s intentional – the only way to be sure is to understand the content (hence my ‘study’ not ‘memorize’ comment above).

…that said, about the actual question on DnDs on this site, when I click the two links on the top, I get a great deal more than (1) DnD on each.

All of the DnD’s here, however, will be on a valid purchased practice exam, as well (and then some).

Both dumps and book… I am not gonna lie. I did not read the whole book, but parts of it. I work in an ISP, so I am familiar with most of the stuff. Study Data Center virtualization, architectures, basics on wireless, basics on security and codecs in Voice. Questions on routing and layer 1 are very easy. You have them straight from the dumps. For drag and drop, make sure they are correct because dumps are not correct. I got two new drag and drops on Virtualization and 3 or 4 new questions on borderless networks, OTV.

Mguerrero-passed with 927. 10 questions or so that were included in the dump you mentioned, but I did fine. Advice to all-a lot of D&D’s included, the ones listed on right side links as well as some data center ones…

Here is a question from 864 actual tests:

Most painfully boring jaw widening course I have ever had to endure in my life. Infact all you need is the ppt for student guide and p4s and you can save yourself some unnecessary trauma.

I passed my exam with 890 marks.
It’s a tough exam so study the latest exam guide thoroughly and in the last week go through the prep questions.
D&D are identical to the ones on this site. But like I said study thoroughly if you want to get an understanding of design because it is an important exam!

The Private WAN, Internet, and ISDN make the most sense to me (A,B,C). I don’t think MPLS is correct because it’s not really a backup WAN link (more of a primary) and it’s listed twice. Dialup implies POTS but could be correct if it were ISDN — it’s also listed in the book as Dial Backup. DSL implies Internet which is already listed in a broader context and DSL would also be considered slow compared to other choices. I also suspect that whoever copied the question listed the correct answers first and then came up with alternatives which is why MPLS is listed twice.

Actualtest shows answer as A,B,D.
I think it should be B,C,D. DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) doesn’t make sense. Frame Relay is listed at http://www.ciscopress.com/articles/article.asp?p=1722560 in the Enterprise Edge functional area for WAN/MAN. Frame Relay is old but still used.

Passed with a 956 — if I had paid more attention to Aman’s post, my score would have been higher. The question he threw out was on my exam.

Hi Kapoo, congratulation for your new cert, hey can you please send me the Cisco.Lead2Pass.640-864.v2012-09-03.by.FRAIN.340q VCE file, I’m sure you have it from longer than, when we started having issues downloading from examcollection. Look that every time you download any VCE it got taget like a newer version forcing you to purchase a new VCE manager version, I tested it because I re-download a older VCE I have since a month ago tha are working fine, now have version problem, so we may find different place than examcollection to start uploading the VCEs files. The three technologies recommended to be used for WAN connectivity wasn’t on my exam but Aman’s new question was. I still think that Metro, Frame Relay and MPLS VPN make the most sense.
