C) sometimes mix of L2 and L3 infrastructure is desirable
D) at small sites, it’s connected right to the core and provides IP and MAC addresses services

That was my thought too, yet , the answer in the dumps says otherwise, and i answer d in the exam, and it was correct, so, better not to put so much thought about it

Number A is correct, but number C is more correct, and is stated by other users, that the answer is C, remember that the access part of the design is primaly L2 switches, while the distribution part is compose of L3 switches, so a mix, works in almost all cases.

Having reviewed the content of this forum CCDA thread I have to say there is some strange stuff going down. Too many badly/incorrectly worded questions and answers. For the forum to be really useful I would urge that users word questions carefully and actually take the time to go find the answers in Cisco Press or WWW.

Far too much dross e.g. SO Feb 17th does not even articulate the question correctly so consequently there is no correct answer. The question is corrected later by SO – credit due.

The correct answer by the way The corporate internet area is part of enterprise edge.

Be careful about referring to Brain Dump Question numbers and simply advising answers such as A+B. Answers can be swapped around on actual exams and that would leave people kicking themselves.

I was using site http://www.aiotestking.com, D&D and official Cisco Study Guide.
It was 8-10 questions witch I didn’t see before.
They are mostly about virtualizations, can’t remember exact.

Pass today 956 score. there were almost the same questions except 4-5 new questions about virtualization. dont afraid! who wrote about alot of new q on the exam i dont know which exam they got.. but dump is still valid and questions that disscused at this site is exactly the same.

I have completed my CCIP with old syllabus so wht are the eligibility criteria for CCDP? Do i have to appear for CCDA??

janella and at-the latest dump on examcollection. but it would be better if you will read study guide because it helped me more than dump i guess.

I passed today.
The janella and at-the latest dump on examcollection cover 60-70% of the exam.
But give you a good practice, 4-6 new D&D’s.

Passed the exam using ps4 dump by fadywn on examcollection. but it is better to understanding the answer and not just to memorize it.
there are about 4-5 new question and also about 5 new DND that was already mentioned here (about VSAN/VLAN, SNMP)

Passed today with 912. Used Cisco.ActualTests.640-864.v2011-11-07.238q.vce, which is about 85% still valid, the official cert guide and DnDs from this site. Had some new questions and drag and drops which were mentioned here already. If you’ve studied the 640-864 official cert guide and this dump, you should be fine. Thanks dstut.

Passed today with 903 despite only having 2 hours sleep and also being sick before the exam. Coulnd’t postpone because CCNA would have ran out tomorrow!

As above really, used the latest fadwyn P4S dump and janella dump on examcollection, study guide and 861/863 CBT nuggets.

The D&Ds on here were well worth looking at as several were in the exam.

A good few new questions and D&Ds though so if you rely solely on dumps, you won’t pass.

To let you know Q1 on questions 1 D&D came up…sort of:

Layer 2 between distribution and access layers, with a Layer 3 link between the distribution switches:
FHRP for convergence, no VLANs span between access layer switches across the distribution switches

Layer 3 between distribution and access layers, with a Layer 3 link between the distribution switches:
Support Layer 2 VLANs spanning multiple access layer switches across the distribution switches

VSS: Convergence (FHRP) is not an issue

Except, as some have said and makes total sense, the sencond part should have been layer 2 and layer2 not layer 3 and layer 3.

Passed today 970/1000. Used lead2pass dump and studied the 640-864 official cert guide.

Almost all of the questions were from the lead2pass dump.

Drag and drop question were from the dump and dstut. But i suggest u can check 2-3 new DDs from the dump.

If u study the dump and dstut, you will pass.

i failed the exam too at 6 Mar, My Score: 781 the situation same with you.

i only study the http://www.examcollection.com/cisco/Cisco.Actualtest.640-864.v2011-02-23.by.anonymous.253q.vce.file.html and dstut.com. But no see the comment at he dstut.com

Although only nine point will be pass, but i think we are still have more answer need to correct from the exam. So be carefully on your next exam.

I also will try this on next two week. Hope you pass on the next^.^

Finally I passed!!! Just came back from test center not over half n hours…

854/1000… 12 out of 55 that I couldn’t do ‘coz new question and a little bit mixed up in my mind But I passed!!!

I cleared CCDA since last week. 854, I’m ok with it coz just wanna passed! :P

I posted everything above But if you need new question you have to asking some guy to send dump to your email BUT you have to wait for long ‘coz I posted before till now I didn’t get anything. If waiting them, we’ll not know that when we can take exam! Ho Ho Ho…
