Hi how long in general did any off you study for this exam.. I want to start learning for this exam before it expires in April..I got the book 2day and have bought cbt nuggets dvd..

I passed CCNA about a year ago and looking to do something more using self study and then exam. Can someone please guide me to select one single source of information that I can use to pass the exam since I am slow reader and prefer reading books than from PC.

This site has some very useful links but like all other Cisco certs there are dupliations and makes you confusing which one to select for study.

*CCDA 640-863 Authorized Self-Study Guide-Second Edition
*CCDA Official Exam Certification Guide-Third Edition
CCDA Quick Reference Sheets: Exam 640-863
CBT Nuggets CCDA 640-863 – Latest Pack

* These are two official books that were published first in 2007 both and the fourth edition of official exam cert guide is due in late May 2011.

I could easily go for CBT Nuggets videos but I gathered that videos do not cover everything you need to pass exam. Would these videos and exam papers TI/P4S be sufficient or should I first read a book, and which one?

Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.

@Kamran: Usually reading one book is not enough. I recommend you to read the CCDA Official Exam Certification Guide-Third Edition (read it first) because it covers most of the topics asked in the exam.
Besides, the “Authorized Self-Study Guide-Second Edition” & “CCDA Quick Reference Sheets.pdf” are good books too.

I ve just passed the exam with scor 910 /1000 . i ve found this site yesterday at 23H30 , and it took me a few minuts to pass the exam after 1 hour reading the site and doing the dump :) . the exam is still Valid . the same questions , no changes , every signle question in the 5.71 dump is in .

Hope it will be a dump for the 864 quiquly ^^

One the ccda is taken , now im in charge to get the Xpress foundation Desinger 642-374 , can any one of you help me to get the lastest dump for this one too :)

I passed today with 1000/1000. All questions were included in TI 5.71 and all DnDs can be found here (at least those I had to answer :). So both are valid. Thanks dstut and all rest of you and GL for those who are still going to take the exam.

Passed CCDA 936/1000 TI5.75 is still valid. All D&D from here except for 1: Regarding packet switching, Circuit Switching and Leased Line.

I pass the exam today with an 910. Thanks to this website and others input. I used test inside v5.7 or 5.1 I forget which one . I also studied the Cisco Press CCDA quick reference by Kevin Wallace. Its about 70 pages it is a must read to get a detail understanding. I am off to get my CCDP and CCNP. I plan on taking the 642-873 which is the ARCH exam. I wish everyone the very best.

apart from 5 D&D in MMFSH I got new one which i messed up with. read all quesiions here and you will pass with 99% , thanks to DSTUT once again.

I wrote the 640-863 (not 864) today. I got 1000/1000! THANKS DSTUT and all who post here!!!
Everything on the TestInside was right. I had 3 D&D…the ones on this site…not others.
I read the Reference guide by Kevin Wallace, and used the Exam Guide for the sections I wasn’t as familiar with already.

Passed 64-863 on Feb 24, 2011 scoring 1000. TI 5.71 and this website is still valid. Design folks here try to find and help others preparing for ARCH like me. I will take it before May 11, 2011, so if anyone knows about a portal for ARCH kindly post it here.
