is true that most question are wrong…my suggestion it was to correct them as group …who volunteer….
1st. we split the question by chapter as the book
2nd. we take each one a chapter and start to fix the answer with software
3rd . we collect them all together with correct answers.

    link software http://www.4shared.com/get/4ntaSmze/Visual_CertExam_Suite_19987_by.html
    link vce last updated http://www.examcollection.com/cisco/Cisco.Prepking.642-874.v2011-11-24.by.Jenna.265q.vce.file.html

who volunteer to split them by chapter? :)

100 question one day? really is this possible? i had an idea of 5 people each one 50 question or each one take few chapter when the question are splitted by chapter ….the person would read one chapter and start in it …is much more easier than following one question from the start of the book and an other in the end :)

    New D & D

    CEF
    FHRP Routing
    No FHRP Routing
Increase bandwidth at core & distribution

    New Question

What needs to be considered in enterprise network for the video traffic

A video streaming to be used as a TCP for delay & jitter

    hello frnds

i am little confused here that after CCNA is it CCNP or CCDA. I have done my CCNA and now looking for next step.

    thanks

    December 8th, 2011

    Mathebula and CiscoGeek,
Cisco has released their V3 for the ARCH exam, however it is not available as an e-book. You will need to purchase the hard copy.

    christina,
You can take CCNA or CCDA without any requirements. You will need a CCNA certification as a pre-requisite for CCNP. You will need CCNA+CCDA as a pre-requisite for CCDP. Check Cisco website.

What is the best dump to prepare for the exam? Are the ones on examcollection enough?

  18. CiscoGeek
    December 9th, 2011

All, I just wrote the exam yesterday and PASSED !!!!!!!!! Thank God.
    Now CCDP Certified !
Unless you read the material and understand it then you will pass.

Sephiroth – It is available as an Ebook. Check the cisco press.

Anonymous – If you want to pass do not rely on any dumps – at least 25 % to 35 % of the answers are incorrect. In my humble opinion , you can use the dumps as reference but dont rely on them whatsoever!

Good Luck to everyone persuing this exam!

@Sephiroth : The exam material is exactly like the pass4sure / Actual tests – there will be 2 or 3 questions extra. I unfortunately dont remember them. But if you do read the book and understand the general material you should be able to answer them ok.

    Hi

    Please help me with answers:

Q2. As a critical part of the design for the Enterprise Campus network, which of the following two are true concerning intrusion detection and prevention solution? (Choose two)

    A) IDS is capable of both inline and promiscuous monitoring, while IPS is only capable of promiscuous monitoring.

    B) IDS will stop malicious traffic from reaching its intended target for certain types of attacks.

    C) IPS processes information on Layer 3 and 4 as well as analyzing the contents and payload of the packets for more sophisticated embedded attacks (Layers 3 to 7)

    D) IPS inspects traffic statefully and needs to see both sides of the connection to function properly.

E)IDS placement at the perimeter of Data Center outside the firewall generates many warnings that have relatively low value because no action is likely to be taken on this information.

    Answers : C & E

Thease answers are correct but after a little search i think the (D) is also a correct option.
    “Self-Study” v2 Page 275 :

“This asymmetric traffic flow can cause problems with inline IPS devices. Because an IPS sensor inspects traffic statefully and needs to see both
sides of the connection to function properly, asymmetric traffic flows may cause valid traffic to be dropped.”

    Please help ……..

4.OSPF stub areas are an important tool for the Network designer; which of the following two should be
considered when utilizing OSPF stub areas?
    A. OSPF stub areas increase the size of the LSDB with the addition of Type 3 and 5 LSAs
    B. OSPF not so stubby areas are particularly useful as a simpler form of summarization
    C. OSPF stub areas are always insulated from external changes
    D. OSPF stub areas can distinguish among ASBRs for destinations that are external to the OSPF domain
    E. OSPF totally stubby cannot distinguish among ABRs for the best route to destinations outside the
    areas
    Answer: B,E

    my opinion:

Static RP – static with on inherent failover or l-b mech
Auto-RP – Dynamic utilzing RP mapping agents
Anycast RP – static with MSDP
BSR – dynamic utilizing link-local multicast messages flooded hop by hop

Asad, now i verify your first part

  41. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

Mapi, I believe you are correct on the RP model drag/drop

    Anycast RP
Because some sources and receivers might end up using different RPs, there needs to be some way for the RPs to exchange information about active sources. This is done with MSDP. MSDP announces the source addresses of the sources sending to a group (pg 537 ARCH 3rd edition)
    Multicast Source Discovery Protocol(MSDP)

BSR is another dynamic RP selection protocol.
This information is distributed through link-local multicast messages that travel from PIM router to PIM router. (pg 541 ARCH 3rd edition)

Should i Remove all OLD voWLAN & CCVP Questions from VCE ?

  43. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

Asad, took test yesterday and didn’t pass. Only 2 new questions. Going through each question again and changing some I thought were correct.

Noticed you have B & D correct. Quoted pages from ARCH 2nd edition study guide

Q4 – OSPF stub areas – looks like 3 answers are correct. What’s the correct answer?
    (B) OSPF not so stubby areas are particularly useful as a simpler form of summarization
(pg 111) The various kinds of OSPF stub areas can be thought of as a simpler form of summarization. The point of using OSPF stub areas, totally stubby areas, not-so-stubby areas (NSSA), is to reduce the amount of routing information advertised into an area
    (C) OSPF stub areas are always insulated from external changes
(pg 128) Stub areas, totally stubby areas, and summary routes also insulate the area from external changes.
    (D) OSPF totally stubby cannot distinguish among ABRs for the best route to destinations outside the areas
(pg 130) Stub areas cannot distinguish among ABRs for destinations external to the OSPF domain (redistributed routes)

  44. Asad
    December 13th, 2011

    Hi

crabber , Did you see any vowlan questions in your yesterday exam ?

about question 4 , I’m still searching for answer.

  45. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

Asad, question 8 Why is STP required when VLANs span access layer switches? I see an arguement for A, B and C. 2 nd edition study guide quotes:

You may need to implement STP for several reasons:
When a VLAN spans access layer switches to support business applications.
    (pg 47)

So, I’m thinking C is correct
    (C) in order to support business applications

  46. Asad
    December 13th, 2011

    Crabber, You are right.

i also have some doubt about this questions, but i think “to protect against user-side loops” is more realistic than “in order to support business applications”.

there are many single choice question with more than one correct answer.

  47. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

    Asad,
Come to think of it no questions from VoWLAN

  48. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

    Asad,
Do you know why “(A) to ensure a loop-free topology” would not be correct?

  49. crabber
    December 13th, 2011

    Asad,
I struggle with these tests that have more than one correct answer. Microsoft does the same thing.
